Hunter Wolfington Returning as Disco Turkeys Head Coach for 2027

The Carolina Disco Turkeys are bringing back head coach Hunter Wolfington for the 2027 season.

Wolfington, a Forsyth County native, took over the Disco Turkeys in 2026 after establishing himself as a successful coach in the area. A former Walkertown High School and Greensboro College pitcher, he previously led Atkins High School to the program’s first conference championship in 2024.

Wolfington added another local connection this fall when he joined the coaching staff at Greensboro College.

“We’re excited to have Hunter back,” Disco Turkeys GM Marilynn Butterworth said. “He did a great job with our team last summer, and his knowledge of the game and connections throughout this area make him a great fit for what we’re building.”

The 2027 season will mark Wolfington’s second year leading the Disco Turkeys.
