Disco Turkeys to host Scottish Highlands event at Saturday’s home games

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (6/14/24) -- The Carolina Disco Turkeys will be celebrating a Scottish Highlands Night this Saturday at Wake Forest University’s Couch Ballpark.

The Disco Turkeys welcome the Lake Norman Copperheads for a doubleheader beginning at 6 p.m. The scheduled double-header will be two 7-inning games with a 30-minute intermission between them that will be filled with activities related to Scottish Highland Games.

A baby Scottish Highland cow named Slate will be on site, thanks to Ridge Runner Farm in Pilot Mountain, NC. The event will also have a live bagpiper. Along with some games between the games, local Gaelic football club, the Winston-Salem Wolfhounds, will be demonstrating their sport on the field.

The Disco Turkeys are a perfect 5-0 at home this summer coming into Saturday’s contests. The Turkeys lost their only match-up on the season so far with the Copperheads in an away game earlier this month.

Tickets for the double-header and all the day’s festivities are $10 per person. Kids in youth their team jerseys for baseball or softball get free admission. For more information on the Disco Turkeys, visit discoturkeys.com.
