Disco Turkeys return home to Couch Ballpark this week

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (7/13/23) -- The Carolina Disco Turkeys look to stay hot as they play home games at Wake Forest University’s Couch Ballpark tonight and tomorrow night.

After sweeping an away double-header against the Catawba Valley Stars on Tuesday night, the Disco Turkey’s record now stands at 15-9. They host the Queen City Corndogs tonight and the High Point Locos on Friday night. Both games start at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $9 with free parking. Thursday's game is a Dog Night with Forsyth Humane Society and Friday's game will celebrate Bastille Day.

The setting for the remainder of the summer for the Disco Turkeys will be a familiar one for Winston-Salem baseball fans. Wake Forest’s baseball team swept through NCAA Regionals and Super Regionals matchups at Couch Ballpark in the spring. The facility also previously hosted minor league baseball in the summer for generations.

“The team had a lot of fun playing a few games over at Bowman Gray Stadium and making history over there on Fourth of July Weekend with those games,” said team president Greg Sullivan. “But we’re excited to return to Wake Forest and finish out our Winston-Salem slate with the rest of our games over there. It’s a great venue and setting for our players and fans.”

After this week’s games at Couch Ballpark, the Disco Turkeys will return later this month to host games at the facility on July 28-29.
