Disco Turkeys prep for major Fourth of July home stand

The Carolina Disco Turkeys, a summer wood bat team that plays all of its home games at Truist Stadium, are set for their third home stand to begin this Thursday, July 1 and run through Sunday, July 4. And this one is expected to be by far their best attended of the season.

The Winston-Salem Dash, Greensboro Grasshoppers and High Point Rockers are all playing away games over the holiday weekend.

The Disco Turkeys' home stand features a game each day, four in total, and includes an Independence Weekend Celebration with the Winston-Salem Dash and the City of Winston-Salem on July 3 that will have live music and fireworks. Tickets for the July 3 game are $15 and are available through the Winston-Salem Dash's website.

The Disco Turkeys will take on Greensboro Monarchs for the July 3 game. The baseball game will begin at 2:45 p.m. and the live music comes next, followed up by fireworks to cap off the night.

That game is far from the only one. The Disco Turkeys open the home stand with a matchup against the Statesville Owls on Thursday at 5:35 p.m. in a Lowes Foods Thirsty Thursdays game with discounted beer.

On Friday, the Disco Turkeys take on the Boone Bigfoots for a College Night when college students with a student ID get half price admission at the gate.

For Sunday, fans can celebrate the July 4 holiday on its traditional date with a day game against the High Point-Thomasville Locos at 2 p.m.

Tickets for the three non-festival games are $7 in advance at discoturkeys.com/tickets or $8 at the gate. Group pricing is also available for the non-festival games by emailing greg@discoturkeys.com. For more information, visit discoturkeys.com.
