Disco Turkeys Name Hunter Wolfington Head Coach for 2026 Season
The Carolina Disco Turkeys are thrilled to announce that Hunter Wolfington has been named the team’s head coach for the 2026 season.
A Forsyth County native with deep local roots, Wolfington brings strong coaching experience and a track record of building winning culture to the Disco Turkeys. He is beginning his second stint as the head baseball coach at Atkins High School, where he led the Camels to their first-ever conference championship in 2024—a milestone moment for the program and a testament to his leadership.
Wolfington grew up playing baseball throughout the area, including as a standout at Walkertown High School before going on to pitch at Greensboro College. His background as both a successful local player and an accomplished high school coach aligns perfectly with the Disco Turkeys’ mission of elevating Triad-area talent and building strong community connection.
“We’re excited to bring in someone who understands the local baseball landscape as well as Hunter does,” said team president Greg Sullivan. “His energy, player development mindset, and passion for hometown baseball make him a perfect fit for our organization as we build toward 2026.”
Fans can stay tuned for more updates as the Disco Turkeys prepare for an exciting 2026 season under Coach Wolfington’s leadership.
