Disco Turkeys have a dog night and a fireworks night for final home stand
The Carolina Disco Turkeys finish out their regular season with a pair of exciting home games this weekend.
They play the Uwharrie Wampus Cats on Friday night in what will be a Dog Night with Forsyth Humane Society. On Saturday, they'll take on the Marion Hungry Mothers and will be celebrating Winston-Salem's iconic event, the Carolina Classic Fair. There will be post-game fireworks following Saturday's game, presented by the Fair.
For the Dog Night (also presented by Buie's Market), fans can buy a $5 pup pass from the Humane Society at the gate to bring their dog with them (on a leash). There will also be a dog costume contest.
Saturday's game celebrating the Fair will have our tall man, Lanky Lou, and chances to win fair tickets, as well as a post-game fireworks show to cap off our home season.
"There's nothing better than fireworks after a Disco Turkeys game," said team owner and president Greg Sullivan. "We want to thank the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds for making the Fair Night and fireworks possible. We're hoping for another fun night kind of like Fourth of July to cap off another fun season at Couch Ballpark."
Both games start at 6:30 p.m. Kids in little league baseball or softball jerseys get in free and parking is free. Most other tickets are open seating and are $10.
Following this weekend's home games, the Disco Turkeys will participate in a postseason tournament that begins next Tuesday night.
