Disco Turkeys Cap Strong 2026 Season With Championship Series Run

The Carolina Disco Turkeys put together another memorable summer in 2026, finishing second in Blue Ridge League play and advancing all the way to the league championship series.

Carolina spent much of the summer near the top of the standings and at one point surged into first place behind a remarkable 16-game winning streak. The run established the Disco Turkeys as one of the league’s dominant teams before the Queen City Corndogs ultimately claimed the top spot late in the season.

The Disco Turkeys finished league play with a 23-10 record and earned a place in the championship series, where their season came to an end against the Corndogs.

On the field, pitcher Ty Goodsen emerged as one of the standouts of the summer with an outstanding season on the mound. Offensively, Carolina relied on a balanced attack throughout the lineup, with contributions coming from throughout the roster during the team’s extended midsummer run.

The summer also produced one of the biggest attendance days in Disco Turkeys history.

On July 4, more than 5,200 fans saw the Disco Turkeys play across two games. Carolina appeared earlier in the day at Wake Forest’s Couch Ballpark in Winston-Salem before taking part in a second game at the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers’ stadium later that evening.

The Independence Day doubleheader highlighted another season in which the Disco Turkeys continued to expand their reach throughout the region while maintaining their Winston-Salem roots.

Although the season ended one step short of a championship, the combination of a 16-game winning streak, a second-place league finish, a championship series appearance and another major year at the gate gave Carolina plenty to build on.

The Disco Turkeys will now turn their attention toward 2027 after another summer that reinforced their place among the Blue Ridge League’s leading clubs.
